Define Friend I've searched high and low for the dictionary at my home which was like seperated into 3 parts. Finally, i found it at the old, rusty and rather ancient (in my opinion) bookshelf. (just for describtion its actually made of wood so it can't be rusty but i'm exaggerating, i'm just so lame.) I looked into the word FRIEND and there lies it, just a very small portion of the dictionary... From the Oxford Dictionary, it wrotes... Friend n. 1 a person that one knows and likes well. Just this short and simple explaination about friend. But is friend truly as simple as that? I'm not sure. To me, friend is a person who wears a very thick layers of masks. One moment they can be real nice, it melts your heart. In another, they can't wait to backstab you. Once they are found in that act, they suck up to you again. I know people does have jealousy over others but there is no need to go to such extremes methods to cause them to fall. No matter what friends are still people we should care for. Even a mere classmate, is also a friend and i do care for them. Friend is also another childish game played not only between childrens but also adult. I might use the word childish but it is not as simple as that. Its so complicated, sometimes i even wonder why am i there? Friends are like your brothers and sisters, your family. You want to trust them alot but you don't know when they will turn their back on you. Its really so hard to decide about what exactly are they. But i do know there is Someone available for me and won't be backstabbing me or turning the back on me. He will always stand by me, i can trust Him to keep my deepest secrets with. But anyways, can someone tell me exactly what is friend? |
